ASHLEY A. KETCHERSIDE, M.D.

University of Missouri-KC School of Medicine

“I take an integrative approach to medicine in my practice and with my patients. I believe it’s important to treat the whole person! I enjoy managing hormones and abnormal bleeding, discussing contraception, helping busy women incorporate a healthy diet and exercise in their life, and performing surgery (minimally invasive if possible!). I also believe it’s important to continue learning so I can provide options in treatment for my patients.”

  • I was born and raised in St. Charles, Missouri, eventually moving to Kansas City to attend the University of Missouri- Kansas City. UMKC is where I completed my BA, MD, and residency. I became interested in OB/Gyn because it provided variety. I’m able to see a wide range of age groups, combine office medicine with surgery, welcome new life to the world, and overall I get to help women feel their best! I also truly enjoy the relationships I form with my patients through this profession. And fun fact: I was a patient of this practice before I knew I wanted to do Ob/Gyn, so I love all my partners!

Outside of work, you’ll find me with my friends and family. My husband, Hunter, is my better half and is an awesome support person when life gets crazy! We have two young children, Kennedy and Keaton, who keep us on our toes! I enjoy staying active, traveling (pre-covid😊), concerts/dancing, exploring new activities/restaurants, and going to church. I love celebrating the holidays big and small! When time allows, I love cheering on my favorite sports teams which include the St. Louis Cardinals, Blues, and Chiefs! March Madness is one of my favorite times of the year!

I look forward to meeting you!

“I am a strong believer in caring for a woman’s mind and body! My goal is to help educate and empower women of all ages. I enjoy working as a team when developing a plan of care and encourage women to play an active role in the decision-making process. I truly feel honored to work with women during some of their most vulnerable stages of life and hope to provide some comfort and confidence during these times.”

  • Women’s health has always been a passion of mine. I knew going into nursing school that I wanted to care for women (and their babies). After graduating from Avila University’s nursing program, I landed my first job as Dr. Perryman’s nurse! I loved learning everything OB/GYN and decided to pursue an advanced practice degree. I obtained a Master’s in Nursing Education from The University of Kansas Medical Center and then a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Post-Master’s Certificate from The University of Missouri-Kansas City. Additionally, I am an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant and a Certified Perinatal Mental Health provider.

I have three children (four if you count my husband, ha!) and you can typically find us at the lake, pool, or snuggled up watching a movie. We of course cheer for the Chiefs as well as the Kansas Jayhawks (Rock Chalk!). Summer is our favorite season, but March Madness is a close second. Lastly, I am trying to pick up golfing, so maybe one day I will be able to say I enjoy golfing with my husband.

I am so excited, thankful, and fortunate to be back at Plaza OBGYN working with the best. I look forward to meeting and working with you too!

JILLIAN D. MOORE, D.O.

Kansas City University - College of Osteopathic Medicine

“Women’s health is a passion of mine for so many reasons. From counseling an expectant mother to discussing contraceptive options, I enjoy educating and empowering women to take an active role in their health and well-being. To have the privilege to treat generations of women, building lasting and trusting relationships while also guiding them through some of the most challenging and most joyful times of their lives is not something I take for granted.”

  • I began my journey into medicine as a pre-med student at the University of Missouri (M-I-Z!). I then fell in love with Kansas City, as well as Obstetrics and Gynecology, while attending medical school at Kansas City University and went on to complete a residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

In my free time, you’ll find me chasing my two children around in the yard or devouring a good book on the porch with my husband. Among other interests, I enjoy practicing yoga, exploring national parks, cheering on the Chiefs, and baking a fresh loaf of sourdough.

I’m thrilled to be a part of this stellar group of physicians and to be serving the women of this wonderful city.

LEE ALISON VOI CNM, MSN, APRN

Medical University of South Carolina

“As a Certified Nurse Midwife, I have had the privilege of caring for women throughout their life-span, from puberty to adulthood.  Providing routine care for gynecologic, pregnancy, birth and the peri-menopausal transition.  Nurse-Midwifery involves the therapeutic use of human presence and skillful communication when caring for women, two skills that I believe are essential.  My greatest pleasure has been the relationships that I have developed over the years with my patients and their families.  This is what I treasure the most.  There is no honor greater than to be the first person to touch a baby after birth and than placing that newborn on a mother's chest.”

  • I was born on Long Island, New York and raised in Parkville, Missouri. After attending college at Rockhurst / Research School of Nursing, I began my career as a Labor and Delivery Nurse at St. Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City, where I also taught childbirth education classes. As a L&D nurse, the importance of empowering & supporting women and their choices became paramount in my mind. Going back to school to become a Certified Nurse-Midwife, seemed to be the obvious way to accomplish this goal. I attended The Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC and received my Master’s degree in Nursing in Nurse-Midwifery. Following completion of the program, I received my American Midwifery Board (AMCB) certification.

I began my career as a CNM at Fern’s, Matile, Smith and Perryman, building relationships with many patients and their families and helping to bring many new babies into the world as a CNM. I then took a brief 4-year hiatus to spend time with my family and have recently returned to the practice at Plaza OB &GYN.

I believe women’s health is the care of the whole woman including routine healthcare, nutrition and exercise that enhance the health and wellbeing of each individual woman. I enjoy working with all ages and feel like building a relationship with my patients is paramount to them achieving their goals of a healthy body and lifestyle.

I’m married to my husband Mike and we have one son. I am also an Adjunct Professor at the UMKC School of Nursing. In my free time you’ll find me at the YMCA as a fitness instructor or at home working on one of my many craft projects as well as spending time with my husband and our Mini-Aussie Doodle, Archie. I also like to spend time at the lake and travel as much as our schedule allows.

My faith is a fundamental part of my life and has been strengthened by many experiences I've encountered while working with patients.

DOUGLAS R. PERRYMAN, M.D.

University of Oklahoma Medical School

“My greatest joys in practice have come from not only providing care but getting to know patients. It’s been an honor to be a part of bringing new life into the world delivering the babies of kids I delivered. I’m thankful for the advancements in minimally invasive surgery and enjoy offering robotics. Additional interests of mine are bioidentical hormone replacement therapy as well as other ‘quality of life’ offerings.”

  • I grew up in Yukon, Oklahoma. My childhood dream was to become a doctor after receiving care during a short hospitalization. I attended Bethany Nazarene College near my home and my dream was then realized at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. I decided to become an OB-GYN because I was drawn to the excitement of delivering babies and doing surgery. My wife Suzanne and I moved to Kansas City in 1988 where I began a four-year residency at Saint Luke’s Hospital. In 1992, I joined the private practice that exists today.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family. I’ve been blessed with three wonderful children and have recently begun the journey of being a grandpa. I love all kinds of music, enjoy playing the piano, and rooting for various sports teams. My faith is the cornerstone of my life and where my strength comes from.
